简·奥默罗德（JanOrmerod） 澳大利亚图画书作家。1946年出生于班伯里。童年时就沉浸在艺术创作中，对美国漫画尤为喜爱。她从珀斯的一家艺术学院毕业后，曾在中学教艺术学等课程，深谙孩子的心理。简善于观察细节，其作品往往取材于日常生活，以细腻的情感赢得广大读者的赞赏和喜爱。多年来，简获得了多种奖项。仅其创作的第一本图画书《阳光》，就获得1981年英国凯特·格林纳威大奖提名、1982年英国鹅妈妈奖等诸多荣誉。代表作有《阳光》《月光》《水巫》等。
